A crown is a very reliable solution for major dental damage caused by accidents, diseases, or wear and tear.  Crowns are made from high strength porcelain or porcelain bonded to metal, and they look and feel like your natural teeth. The placement of crowns will restore a beautiful smile and a functional bite.

Crowns require at least two office visits. First, we prepare the remaining tooth structure for the crown by removing the decay, reshaping the tooth, and taking an impression to send to our lab.  A temporary crown will be fitted until the permanent is ready to be placed in the mouth. Our lab will construct the permanent crown to encircle the tooth and the second appointment will bond the crown into place.
